What will it take for wildlife to adapt to rising global temperatures? How will animals evolve? What will they become?

A deer and a flock of paper birds step into a jungle—but they’re made of neon. It sounds like the beginning of a joke. Or maybe a glimpse into the future. I’m not entirely sure.

This small-scale street art piece, is a co-lab with Alaniz, created in Alexandria a few years ago, explores these questions and reimagines wildlife through synthetic, geometric animals. Using vibrant colors and bold shapes, this hand-painted mural reflects on the challenges of adaptation in a changing world.

Next year, I’ll be revisited this theme alone, continuing the story with a new series of custom mural designs that delve deeper into the interplay of technology, nature, and transformation, blending the surreal with the futuristic. This piece is part of my ongoing effort to use street art to spark reflection and dialogue about the environment and our shared future.
